Hello again!  I have been away for awhile...no excuses...I just didn't know if I had anything the general public wanted to hear.  But those of you who know me well, realize I always have something to say!  I have decided to attempt to write more often and share bits of my life by writing here some of those thoughts and experiences.

This morning I want to share a few words about my delightful day yesterday.  We call it Craft Day and New Recipe Day.  Some of my family and a dear friend gathered at Gin's house for fellowship and food and we all work on one of our many projects.  I worked on decorated eggs for next Easter, Sandy cut out fabric for a quilt, Gin was quilting as always, Dawn kept the babies entertained and gathered violets for jelly making, Mariah was cross stitching on pillowcases, and Jess crocheted on a throw for her hubby.

In addition to that, we all helped Gin and her partner Julie from Hilltop Hens Creations, arrange their display of quilted items they are going to be selling at an upcoming craft show.  After much fussing and arranging of owls, ladybugs, tulips, flags and more, made into place mats, quilts, throws, blankets, and table runners we finally were happy with the display and eagerly await the show in two weeks to see the handiwork in all its glory! I plan to be there early because I hope they are all sold out before the end of the day!

But before the crafting, we gather and then set promptly to eating!  Our recipes were all new to us and untested till yesterday.  We laughed that most of them came from our boards on Pinterest, a new minor obsession in my family.  We all are savers of ideas and instead of ripped out pages of magazines, Pinterest has helped fill that need to gather ideas in one place.  Now, on to the food.

Everyone agreed that all of these new recipes were keepers.  I made a Potato Bacon Cheese Casserole that would be impossible to not be good with those ingredients included!  Sandy made a yummy Pizza Dip and she changed the recipe a bit to accommodate what she had on hand rather than heading to the store for pepperonis.  Gin has an abundance of fresh asparagus in her garden and created a wonderful Asparagus and Chicken Casserole with homemade noodles.  Dawn shared with us a delicious chili dip that is a keeper recipe from before, therefore was not photographed with the new ones but we enjoyed it both hot and then cold later in the day!  Mariah brought a dessert that was named, Cinnamon Breakfast Bites that were similar to doughnuts but baked, not fried and we devoured them!  Our good friend Jessie brought Ricotta Stuffed Tomatoes which will be a wonderful treat to use up all the extra tomatoes that come in August and September.

We are asked repeatedly for our recipes and wish to give credit to where they originally came from, so the links to them are here:
